DO NOT USE HAND ROLLED CLAY BALLS IN A GAS TANDOOR OVEN

A lot of commercial tandoor users are calling us for an alternative to the clay hand rolled balls. These clay hand rolled balls are being supplied to them from other suppliers and they are facing gas burner clogging issues. To support the tandoori cooking equipment user community we are posting this on our website to guide tandoor users not to use hand rolled clay balls on tandoor burner plate in a gas tandoor. The purpose of heat retention is being lost by more gas being consumed by the gas burner due to clogging issue.

Note: Homeoftandoors.com does not supply hand rolled clay balls with any of the tandoor models and neither do we sell them individually. We stock ceramic stone and ceramic blocks for usage inside on the burner plate for assisting the gas tandoor oven to retain and distribute heat to the walls of the tandoor oven resulting in better cooked tandoori food.

Suggestive is to use ceramic blocks and/or lava stone as heat retention and heat distribution material that does not disintegrate or fall apart.

  • Each box good for home tandoor use, for commercial tandoors at least 2 or more box required.

  • Ready to use

  • Made from Ceramic Special Formulation to take very high heat and retain it

  • Retains heat for very long

  • Shape – CUBE & CUBOID with rough edges

  • Check Diagram for representation of working

  • Specially manufactured for Tandoori Ovens and similar deep pot appliances to emit heat on all sides

  • Very large surface area unlike Lava Stones

  • This large surface distributes heat on all sides evenly

  • Retains heat longer thus saving you on fuel

  • Distributes heat in the most correct manner as required by the oven

  • When using Lava Stones you need to place the skewers in the right manner ensuring that the lava stone is not poked. When using heat blocks this problem is solved automatically due to the shape, the blocks shift a little making way for the skewer

  • Product is Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable once shipped.

  • Very long life

  • Better food quality even when you are a novice

Gas Tandoor burner plate stone lava rock ceramic block

Perfect Partner to your Gas Tandoor Oven

Kept above burner plate the heat from the burner first heats the plate and then the ceramic block

In turn the heat is retained by the ceramic block for a longer duration and released in different directions to help facilitate even cooking especially of tandoori naan and tandoori roti.

These ceramic tandoori blocks absorb the falling liquid and fats from the skewered food and turn it into food required smoke. This also prevents the tandoor burner plate to run in for longer as liquid falls on the stones in the tandoor and not the plate.

Tandoor burner also will last longer in the tandoor as food liquid and fats do not accumulate on the burner plate
